Did you know there have been on-going yoga classes at Harwood for nearly ten years? Perhaps you’ve always wanted to try yoga, or maybe it’s time to start again. Join this ongoing class to discover the unending benefits of this ancient and beautiful practice. Classes are structured to accommodate multiple skill/fitness levels and beginners are encouraged to attend. Focus will be on correct alignment, awareness of breath, mindfulness and basic yoga philosophy. Through the asanas (postures) participants can expect increased strength, flexibility, stamina and balance. Applying simple breathing techniques, we’ll explore ways to quiet the mind and release accumulated stress in the body. I believe yoga should be a joyful experience and provide a safe, nurturing environment where students are encouraged to discover success in their personal practice. For a more enjoyable experience, please arrive on time, with an empty stomach, comfortable clothing, bare feet and an open mind. Mats provided for new students.
